Aryan Khan talks about directing father Shah Rukh Khan in debut ad film; says, “He makes everyone’s job easier”

Aryan Khan, son of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, is all set to make his directorial debut with an advertisement film featuring his father. For the unversed, Aryan directed an ad film to kick-start the campaign for the luxury streetwear brand D'Yavol X. While a section of fans showered love on the father-son duo, Aryan recently opened up on working with his father.

In an interaction with Harper’s Bazaar India, the young director said, “Working with my father is never challenging, because, with his experience and dedication, he makes everyone’s job easier on set.” Aryan further added, “He also makes the entire crew feel at ease and has tremendous respect for everyone. When he’s on set, I always make sure to pay extra attention, so I don’t miss out on anything I can learn.”

As the conversation progressed further, Aryan was asked if Shah Rukh shared any input on the set, he said, “Of course, he did, and everyone involved in the project gave their input in some way. And it is important to at least listen to them because filmmaking is a collaborative effort.” He continued, “If my dad's input is different from mine, and if both seem valid, you can always shoot it both ways; but don’t tell my producer.”

The star kid also shared his parents’ first reaction after seeing the ad. He shared, “They asked me to keep some pieces from the collection aside for them, in case it sells out. I am still considering their request.”

Salman Khan opens up about receiving death threats and increased security: “I do have a problem with this”

In March this year, Salman Khan made headlines after his office received a threatening letter, which Goldy Brar, an associate of Lawrence Bishnoi, a notorious gangster, allegedly sent. The threatening email was directed at Salman's personal assistant, Jordy Patel, and came shortly after Lawrence Bishnoi publicly stated his desire to “kill Salman Khan.” Post that, the Mumbai police increased the security outside Khan’s home. In the latest episode of Rajat Sharma’s popular talk show, Aap Ki Adalat, Salman spoke about the matter.

When the host asked about his beefed-up security, the Bollywood star asserted, “Yes, there is security. I can no longer walk on the street alone, go cycling… But I do have a problem with this (amped-up security). When we are in traffic, there is so much security, and vehicles, which causes inconvenience to other people, who give me a look, saying, ‘Achcha, you have now become a star.’ There are some threats, which is why the security is there. I am doing whatever I have been asked to do. I have got to be very careful… I go everywhere with full security.”

Adding further, the 57-year-old actor said, “Jo hone waala hai woh ho ke rahega, aap kuch bhi koshish kar lo. I believe that he (God) is there, so that’s it. Of course, it doesn’t mean that just because God is there, I will start behaving carelessly. I have many Sheras now (referring to his loyal bodyguard, Shera). There are so many guns (gunmen) that walk with me that khud darr lagta hai aaj kal.”

The Bharat actor continued, “They walk with guns pointed at all directors. I do get looks from people though. Like when you see a minister in his laal batti with a siren, I get the same look. So I have told them that I don’t want any sound of siren, that they should drive at a very slow pace.”

During the interview, Rajat Sharma suggested that the threats may have stemmed from the Blackbuck case. To this, Salman Khan chuckled and replied, “I genuinely have no idea about that, sir. I really don't. Our legal system is competent, and they will make the necessary judgement. Whatever their verdict, we will accept it.”

Coming to the professional front, Salman recently gave a treat on Eid to his fans with his film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Directed by Farhad Samji, it also features Pooja Hegde as the leading lady. Salman has a bunch of projects in his kitty, including Tiger 3, Tiger Vs Pathaan and an unannounced film with Karan Johar.

Salman Khan opens up about his past relationships, takes accountability for their failure; says, “Fault mujh mein hi lie karta hai”

Salman Khan, apart from his movies, has been constantly in the spotlight due to his alleged romantic relationships. Recently in an episode of Aap Ki Adalat, the actor confessed that he has been in a relationship with more than six women in his life, but they all ended up being unsuccessful. He also discussed his personal life, particularly his past relationships.

Salman Khan reflected on his past relationships during an episode of Aap Ki Adalat with host Rajat Sharma, wondering if he was at fault for their lack of success. Salman said, “Fault mujh mein hi lie karta hai. Kyunke jab ek jaati hai toh fault unme tha, doosri jaati hai toh fault unme hee hai, teesri jaati hai toh unhi mein hai…chauthi mein thora doubt aata hai, ke fault unme hain ya mujhe hai? Paanchvi mein bhi.. 60-40 ka. Usse zyada jab jaane lagti hai tab woh confirm kar jati hai ke fault mera hee tha. Mera hee tha. Toh isme kisika dosh nehi hai. Mera hee dosh hai. Shayad ek fear ka ho ke main unko woh zindagi, woh sukh na de pau jo ki unke dimaag mein hai. I’m sure sab apni apni jagah bahut khush hai. (All my previous girlfriends were good, the fault lies in me. When the first one left, it could have been her fault, when the second one and then the third one left, there could be faults with them, but with the fourth one, doubt creeps in whether fault lies with them or me. In the fifth case, it could have been 60:40. But when more left, it is then confirmed that it was my fault. None of them had any fault. It is only my fault. Probably a kind of fear in their mind that I may not be able to give them happiness in life. I am sure they are all happy wherever they are)”

Salman Khan had been romantically linked to various women in the entertainment industry such as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Iulia Vantur, and Zareen Khan, among others.

Coming to the professional front, the 57-year-old star was last seen in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which was released recently on the occasion of Eid 2023. Helmed by Farhad Samji, it also starred Pooja Hegde along with Jassie Gill, Palak Tiwari, Raghav Juyal, Shehnaaz Gill, Siddharth Nigam, Venkatesh Daggubati, and Vinali Bhatnagar. He will be next seen in Tiger VS Pathaan.

Gauri Khan cheers for Aryan Khan as he gears up to launch his apparel brand D’Yavol X

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan are proud parents as their children, Aryan and Suhana Khan are all set to make their big debut this year. While Suhana has chosen Bollywood as her future and is gearing up for the release of her debut film The Archies, Aryan Khan will be launching his luxury streetwear brand D’Yavol X on April 30. Right before the launch, the proud mother decided to dedicate a special post to her son, cheering him on for his role as an entrepreneur.

Gauri Khan took to Instagram to share a ‘proud mother’ post, a day before the launch of D’Yavol X which is expected to be launched on Sunday evening at 7:30 pm. Gauri posted on her social media handle saying, “One day to go… all the best, @___aryan___ … proud to see your work coming to life. @dyavol.x” While her post garnered a lot of love from well-wishers and fans, some of her friends from the industry also dropped their comments. Former Bollywood actress and wife of Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, Namrata Shirodkar dropped her ‘good luck’ wish to Aryan in the comment section. Sangeeta Bijlani, Deanne Pandey and Bhavana Pandey, Shweta Bachchan dropped their well-wishes for the star kid for his new venture.

19 Years Of Main Hoon Na EXCLUSIVE: Zayed Khan reveals how he ANGERED Farah Khan during the shoot of the one-take song ‘Chale Jaise Hawayein’: “She abused the hell out of me and also threw her chappal on me!”

The much-loved entertainer Main Hoon Na (2004) completed 19 years on April 30. It starred Shah Rukh Khan in the lead while Zayed Khan and Amrita Rao along with Sushmita Sen also had important parts to play. Zayed had debuted a year earlier with Chura Liya Hai Tumne (2003) and it's thanks to this Farah Khan film that he became a household name.

On Main Hoon Na’s 19th anniversary, Zayed Khan exclusively spoke to Bollywood Hungama about the film and a lot more.

Your first film Chura Liya Hai Tumne didn’t work but Main Hoon Na was a smashing hit and is remembered even today. That film must have changed a lot for you… It will be unfair to say this but even if I hadn’t done any other film besides Main Hoon Na, I would still be who I am right now! I met people who were my fans at that time. They have of course watched the film but when I meet their children, I find out that even they have seen Main Hoon Na. It’s such a great feeling since it helps me connect with the whole new generation.

Making movies at that time was such a beautiful experience. It was so much about camaraderie. Shah Rukh was such an amazing producer. When you come on the set, he makes you feel that you are the heart and soul of the film. Shah bhai and I got along like a house on fire. Farah is literally like my fifth sister. She fired me so much though!

In a podcast, Farah Khan revealed that you messed up a lot in the outburst scene. Instead of saying, ‘Mere dad army mein the’, you’d end up saying ‘Mere dad navy mein the’… (Laughs) Meri Hindi itni khaas nahin thi. It was a long dialogue and in front of me were Shah Rukh Khan, Farah Khan and Kirron Kher. I practiced that dialogue for 2 months. But then on the set, I realized ki dialogue nikal hi nahin raha hai bahar. I was just not getting it right. Farah wanted to throw a chappal on me! Shah Rukh very sweetly took me aside. I learnt so many incredible qualities from that man. He told me, ‘I know this scene sounds like the one where you need to shout. But internalize it’. It was like a Eureka moment. Something opened up in my head. I understood the thought process. He made an actor out of me.

The meme from Main Hoon Na, ‘Sabke paas nahin hota Laxman’ has become iconic. How do you feel? (Smiles) There’s no doubt that Lucky is an iconic character. If there’s a 100-year-celebration of cinema, Main Hoon Na will surely be there. There’s so much in the film that is relatable. Even today, some people ask me, ‘Ek baar bata do yeh college kahan hai? Mujhe wahin admission lena hai’!

Also, the guy Laxman is relatable. He’s a bit of a rebel but he’s good-hearted. Life has not been kind to him. He’s probably blaming everybody for it. Everyone goes through that, or at least 90% of them do.

What was more difficult – giving that speech or doing the one-take song ‘Chale Jaise Hawayein’? This was a time when we were shooting on 400 feet of film and not on digital. So it was not like ‘Jitne bhi takes chahiye, le lo’! There was a discipline on set. Also, we were on a high attitude. After giving one take, haalat kharab ho jaati thi. I remember, during the shoot, the camera captured Amrita Rao and was coming towards me. Everyone around me was like ‘Be ready, be ready, be ready’. The dancers had done it too many times. Anyway, the camera panned towards me and one of the dancers next to me fell down. He got a fit as he was so exhausted. I didn’t know what to do. I started performing but then I realized I’d have to dance over this chap. I thought, ‘This cannot be my introduction’!

So, I said ‘Cut’. And Farah got so angry. She abused the hell out of me and also threw her chappal on me! I told her, ‘How do you expect me to dance over somebody who is dying, man’! She thundered, ‘You can’t say Cut on my bloody set. I’ll say Cut’. Finally, the unit members realize that the poor guy is lying down. He was rescued. Then we did it again and it went on very smoothly.

When I came on board, I didn’t know how to dance the Bollywood way. I could dance in a nightclub and go mad. But to do 1-2-3-4 steps was not easy for me. Even during ‘Mohabbat Hai Mirchi’, I faced a tough time. I was an American kid who just came back and it seemed so bizarre to me. And this was a part of the problem. I didn’t buy into it wholeheartedly. I had to literally make it muscle memory rather than believing in it.

How did the back hand gesture come about? Farah came to me and Shah Rukh and said, ‘Can you both do something which will make viewers seem like you both are brothers?’. She was suggesting that maybe we can wear the watch in a similar way and there were a few more ideas. Meanwhile, I was wearing hair extensions. It used to irritate me and I used to pull my hair. Shah Rukh once saw me doing it and said, ‘Just do that again’. I told him, ‘Why don’t you wear these bloody extensions?’! He insisted that I do it again. I did and he said, ‘Let’s do this together’. It’s so strange everybody relates to it, even today.

The discipline at that time was different. When ‘Action’ would be called, everyone would give their best as money was rolling. No one could waste film. Nowadays, when someone goofs up, the director would be like ‘No problem, let’s do it again’. Hence, woh discipline nahin raha. Then, there was a lot of finesse in the process.

Salman Khan enacts how Sanjay Dutt tried to convince him for marriage on a show

Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt not only played brothers on screen but the duo are also expected to be close friends in real life. In the recent show Aap Ki Adalat, which was held in Dubai, Salman opened up about his camaraderie with Sanjay Dutt and how the latter addresses him as ‘Bhaijaan’. The actor recalled a memory about how once Dutt tried to convince him for marriage and even enacted the whole incident on the show.

Readers would be aware that the marriage of Salman Khan has been a popular subject not just among his friends but also his fans. The actor revealed that from his family to industry colleagues, many have tried to convince him about getting married. Opening up about the time Dutt had this conversation with Salman, the Sultan actor said, “You should get married Bhaijaan. You don’t know its amazing to be married. When you come home, tired after a day’s work, your wife will ask you, ‘how was your day, did anyone irritate you, did you have fun, are you tired, I’ll get you some water, have a drink’. You should get married yaa Bhaijaan… all this bachelorhood is all bakwaas and bullshit.” As he continued to enact the way ‘Baba’ was giving him this lecture, Salman also constantly looked over, pretending the way the actor reacted when his wife was constantly calling, ‘Arre wait yaar’.

In the same breath, Salman also recalled the time when Sanjay Dutt called him from the latter’s third ‘phera’.

For the unversed, Sanjay Dutt was first married to Richa Sharma and after her demise, the actor tied the knot with Rhea Pillai. However, his second marriage too ended in divorce, and later, the actor settled down with Manayata Dutt in 2008. The actor has one daughter with Richa Sharma, Trishala Dutt, and later had two kids with Manayata, Iqra and Shahraan Dutt.

Salman Khan opens up about when he thought he killed Shah Rukh Khan on sets of Karan Arjun

Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, who have come together for many films, including the recent mega blockbuster Pathaan, have always shared a camaraderie. Salman recalled his Karan Arjun days with the superstar and opened up about a prank gone wrong. The actor confessed that he was playing with a blank gun and shot SRK for fun but the latter ended up falling down which left everyone on the sets shocked.

Opening up about the incident on the sets of Karan Arjun, Salman Khan said, “I got a blank gun from action director Bhiku Verma. A party was going on and there were Rajasthani folk dancers. I told Shahrukh, I'll call you for dance, you refuse, then we will engage in scuffle, and here's a blank gun. I will fire a shot and you will fall down. Shahrukh refused. ‘I am very tired’, he told me."

Further, he continued, "My brother Sohail was there. I pulled Shahrukh's hand, and he snatched it away. He pushed me, so, I pushed him, and a scuffle ensued. I took out the gun and fired a shot at him. Shahrukh did a somersault and fell down.”

The incident had left everyone on the sets in shock and Salman recalled how everyone had reacted and that some of them even wanted to escape the scene thinking that SRK was actually injured. “Javed Saheb's wife Honey (Irani) Aunty was there. She said, I know him since childhood, he's not that type of boy. One journalist Nishi Presm was there. She said, I always knew this boy to be like this. Time Video owner Pravinbhai Shah said, we will all be in a soup, let's rush out," added Salman.

He concluded the incident, "For ten minutes, I stood with red eyes, and said, ‘Koi Nahin uthega, Sabko Maar Doonga (Nobody will get up, I will kill everyone)’. Rakesh ji's hands started trembling. I said, 'Shahrukh Uth, Shahrukh Uth (Shahrukh wake-up)’. When Shahrukh didn't wake up, Sohail and Bhiku Da panicked. I checked my gun. Suddenly Shahrukh started snoring. So, the Pathaan was at last alive. I again fired 3-4 shots, and everybody started laughing.”

The actor also appreciated his friend’s acting chops as he added, “I think Shahrukh is the best perform of the industry. There's no need to say this. This performance was much better than the performance in Karan Arjun. Everybody was convinced and many were trying to flee the set. It was a good experience."

Rajinikanth opens up about the stardom of Nandamuri Balakrishna; says, ‘Balayya can do what he and Amitabh Bachchan cannot’

It was truly an iconic moment for South cinema fans when they saw Tamil megastar Rajinikanth and Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna come together. On Friday, Rajinikanth attended a special event to commemorate 100 years of Telugu actor turned politician Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR). During the event, the Shivaji actor opened up about the massive fan following of the Veera Simha Reddy actor, Balayya.

During the event, Rajinikanth gushed about the loyal fan following of Nandamuri Balakrishna and how audiences are open to accepting the Telugu superstar’s larger-than-life stunts . He said, “My friend Balayya kills with his single look. With a single eye blink, a vehicle can blast and go up to 30-feet-high. It cannot be done by Rajinikanth, Amitabh, Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan. The public won’t accept it if we do that kind of stuff.”

He also reasoned that fans are ready to accept Balayya’s action avatar, because he reminds them of his father NTR. He continued, “If Balayya does that, the audience will accept it. The Telugu audience doesn’t see him as Balayya, they see late NTR in Balayya. He is a kind-hearted person. I pray to God that he will serve more in films and politics.”

On the work front, Nandamuri Balakrishna, whose last theatrical release was Veera Simha Reddy in January, will be seen collaborating with Anil Ravipudi for his next. The untitled film, referred to as NBK108, will feature Kajal Aggarwal along with Sreeleela in a pivotal role.

Coming to Rajinikanth, the actor is busy with Nelson Dilipkumar’s directorial Jailer. The film will also feature Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal with Tamannaah Bhatia as the leading lady as well as Ramya Krishnan and Jackie Shroff playing pivotal roles.

Rani Mukerji locks her next film; venture to be directed by Vaibhavi Merchant?

In March, Rani Mukerji was seen on the big screen in the film Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway, and even received some highly positive feedback for her performance. While the actress is still enjoying the success of the film, we hear that Rani has already moved on to her next venture. If that we hear is true, then apparently Rani Mukerji has locked her next film which will be directed by friend Vaibhavi Merchant.

“Yes, Rani Mukerji has decided on her next venture. It will be a small budget film produced by Yash Raj Films itself. Interestingly, the venture will be directed by Rani’s good friend Vaibhavi Merchant,” reveals a well-placed industry source to Bollywood Hungama. Ask for details on the script and story of the venture and the source reveals, “Right now it is still too early to say anything, besides the entire team is keeping details under tight wraps.”

While it is certainly heartening to know, that Rani has locked her next cinematic venture there has been no official talk about the same. However, another source claims, “There are projects but nothing has been greenlit as such, and nothing has been locked as her next venture.”

Ranbir Kapoor goes ‘Oops’ as he spills the tea literally at an event

The smallest moments of a celebrity’s life attract the most attention, especially on social media. Something similar happened to the Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar actor Ranbir Kapoor! The actor, who has been busy gushing about his love for his wife Alia Bhatt and newborn daughter Raha Kapoor at events, had an ‘Oops’ moment at an event that has attracted quite a bit of attention. It seems that the Kapoor boy, who attended a book launch with mother Neetu Kapoor, ended up spilling the tea, quite literally during a conversation.

Ranbir Kapoor and his mother Neetu Kapoor recently attended a skincare book launch event during which he interacted with the media as well as the author of the book. With all the cameras focused on the superstar, as he engaged himself in an interesting tete-a-tete with the author, it seems that the star had a goofy moment that ended up going viral on social media. During the conversation, Ranbir was seen enjoying his beverage, but he lost his grip and the mug slipped from his hand. He ended spilling the drink on his pants but the superstar took it in his stride and laughed over the funny moment. However, we hear that soon help was called to assist the star and for the necessary clean up.

On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar alongside Shraddha Kapoor. It marked the duo’s first collaboration on the big screen and was directed by Luv Ranjan. The romantic comedy also starred Dimple Kapadia, Anubhav Singh Bassi, Hasleen Kaur, among others and released during Holi on March 8, 2023.

As for his upcoming projects, Ranbir is expected to feature in the unconventional gangster drama Animal, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Triptii Dimri, among others. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and produced by T-Series, the film will release on August 11, this year.

Shah Rukh Khan gets mobbed at Srinagar airport post Dunki shoot, despite tight security

Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu were recently seen shooting together in the pretty locations of Sonmarg and Pulwama in Kashmir as they have been wrapping up the final schedule of Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. Fans in the valley were seen going gaga over the superstar’s presence and took to social media to share several glimpses from the behind-the-scenes of the film. They also clicked selfies and photos with the superstar during the shoot schedule. Now a similar situation turned a tad bit chaotic when Khan arrived at Srinagar airport, on Friday.

Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu seems to have wrapped up their Kashmir schedule of Dunki and were recently spotted at Srinagar airport. After they arrived at the location on Friday, to board a flight, the situation turned chaotic as fans crowded around the superstar to click selfies and photos with him. A video of SRK getting mobbed at the airport, despite tight security, has found its way online on social media.

Happy Birthday Siddhant Chaturvedi: Did you know that the Gully Boy actor was the first choice to play the role of Jim in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan?

The dashing Siddhant Chaturvedi celebrates his 30th birthday today, that is, April 29. The actor appeared in two web series in the initial days of his career. But he became a household name with his performance in Gully Boy (2019). Ever since, he has done 6 films till now, 2 of which are yet to release. And now, Bollywood Hungama has learnt a fascinating trivia about Sidhant which will surely be worth a read.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Siddhant Chaturvedi was the first choice to play the role of the antagonist Jim in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. The blockbuster was produced by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films. The maverick producer had signed him for Bunty Aur Babli 2 (2021), co-starring Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji and Sharvari Wagh. He felt that Siddhant Chaturvedi is a fine actor and can be an apt choice for the villain’s role in Pathaan. Also, he’s physically well-built and would look convincing in the face-off scenes with Shah Rukh Khan.”

The source continued, “Siddhant Chaturvedi, obviously, was floored by the offer and felt honoured that a producer like Aditya Chopra offered him such a plum role in such a big film. However, he declined Pathaan after much thought and deliberation as he felt that he wanted to do hero-based roles. He was not sure if playing an antagonist so early in his career would be a good idea. Therefore, he decided to let go of the offer.”

John Abraham was then approached for the role of Jim. He accepted it and got immense praise for his performance. Pathaan also starred Deepika Padukone and was directed by Siddharth Anand. It was released on January 25, 2023, and broke several box office records. It is the highest Hindi film grosser ever.

Coming back to Siddhant Chaturvedi, he debuted with the web series Life Sahi Hai followed by Inside Edge. In Gully Boy, he played the role of MC Sher. Despite having a supporting role in this Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt starrer, the actor left a huge mark. Siddhant was then seen in Bunty Aur Babli 2 followed by Deepika Padukone-Ananya Panday starrer Gehraiyaan (2022) and Phone Bhoot (2022), co-starring Katrina Kaif and Ishaan Khatter. Siddhant Chaturvedi’s upcoming films are Yudhra, co-starring Malavika Mohanan and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, co-starring Ananya Panday and Adarsh Gourav.

Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, is produced by T- Series, Bhushan Kumar & Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles. It is said to be inspired by the mythological saga of Ramayana and features, Saif Ali Khan as Lankeshwar, Devdatta Nage as Hanuman, and Sunny Singh as Lakshman. The film is expected to be a Pan India venture and will be releasing globally on June 16, 2023.

International Dance Day: Nora Fatehi opens up on her relation with dance; says, “Dance has created an opportunity for me to express my artistic self”

Bollywood actor-dancer Nora Fatehi gained recognition primarily due to her dancing abilities, and she has remained in the public eye ever since. On International Dance Day (April 29), she acknowledges that she cannot dissociate herself from dance and persists in utilizing this art form to convey herself.

Nora reveals how dance has helped her build a connection. She told Hindustan Times, “Dance is a part of my identity, it’s a destined relationship that not only shaped my existence as ‘Nora Fatehi’ and bridged a connection worldwide wide with millions and millions of people. My relationship with dance has created an opportunity for me to express my artistic self and to simultaneously inspire people globally.”

Barkha Bisht confirms divorce with Indraneil Sengupta; ends 13 years of marriage

Barkha Bisht and Indraneil Sengupta, who started their career with television and have also proceeded to films now, recently decided to end their 13-year-old marriage. While rumours of their separation have been doing the rounds since 2021, both the actors have been maintaining silence on the same. However, recently Barkha not only confirmed that she is doing the duties of a single mother now, but also confirmed that her divorce will be through soon.

In a report published by Etimes, Barkha Bisht said, "Yes, our divorce should come through soon. This has been one of the toughest decisions of my life.” Although the actress refrained from divulging details of her separation from Indraneil Sengupta, she added, "I am a single mother and Meira is my priority. On the work front, I have been doing interesting projects in the OTT space. I am open to good projects in TV and films, too.”

For the unversed, Barkha Bisht and Indraneil Sengupta met each other on the sets of television show Pyaar Ke Do Naam – Ek Radha Ek Shyam which aired on Star Plus. The couple tied the knot in 2008, two years after their courtship.  The couple, who has also been a part of reality shows, have an 11-year-old daughter named Meira.

Kangana Ranaut: “What you do in the world is your identity, not what you do in bed”

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut expressed in her recent tweets that it is unfair to evaluate someone based on their gender or sexual orientation, and those who do so will not succeed in life.

Taking to Twitter on Friday, Kangana spoke about gender neutrality. She tweeted, “Whether you are a man/woman/ anything else your gender is of no consequence to anyone but you, please understand. In Modern world we don't even use words like actresses or female directors we call them actors and directors. What you do in the world is your identity, not what you do in bed. Whatever your sexual preferences are they must remain in your bed only. Don't make them your identity card or medals and flaunt every where. Most importantly don't roam around with a knife to cut every throat who don't agree with your gender. I am again saying your gender is not your identity don't make it that way. I am a woman from rural area life gave me no concession I had to make my own place in the world of actors, film makers, producers and writers.”

Bhumi Pednekar bagged her third Filmfare Black Lady trophy last night for her performance as a lesbian girl navigating through life and society in Badhaai Do, co-starring Rajkummar Rao. She took home the Best Actress (Critics Choice) for her acting in the film.

Talking about her recent win Bhumi Pednekar said, “This win is extra special! This is my third Filmfare award and every time I win it, I feel more motivated to disrupt, to champion great films. I thank the respected jury, the team at Filmfare and the audience for giving me and Team Badhaai Do so much love and appreciation.”

Bhumi is thrilled to entertain audiences constantly through her performances. She added, “As an artiste, I look to entertain people with my films. Cinema spreads love and joy to everyone. Sometimes it is a mirror to the society just like Badhaai Do which celebrate the need to equality in love. Love is love. Love is inclusive and universal. Badhaai Do revolves around the concept of lavender marriage and was directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni. Interestingly, Rajkummar Rao too won Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his role as a gay police officer in the film.

On the other hand, Bhumi Pednekar has previously won Filmfare for Saand Ki Aankh and her debut film Dum Laga Ke Haisha.

Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu shoot in Kashmir for Dunki; video goes viral

Earlier this week, we had reported about how Shah Rukh Khan arrived in Kashmir to shoot for the upcoming film Dunki. The Rajkumar Hirani directorial, co-starring Taapsee Pannu, is currently being wrapped up in the valley. After the Pathaan actor received a warm welcome at the airport, fans of the superstar in the valley are going berserk on social media by sharing and posting several photos and videos of him shooting for the film. The latest one features him alongside his leading lady.

Readers would be aware that Dunki will be bringing together Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu for the first time. Although the details of their role are currently under wraps, recently we got a glimpse of the duo shooting for the film in Sonmarg. Dressed in winter clothes, Shah Rukh and Taapsee were seen shooting in a gated cottage with clothes and accessories on display. Going by the setup, it seems that the onscreen pair were shooting for a shopping scene.

A fan posted the video on Twitter and also tagged Vicky Kaushal, who is expected to be shooting for it in the valley. Though we haven’t seen Kaushal shooting for the film, we hear that Vicky is expected to play a pivotal role in the movie.

Another BTS photo that has been doing the rounds is the one where the duo are shooting in Pulwama for Dunki. As for the film, it is expected to be based on the concept of ‘donkey flight’ where many people use multiple modes of transport and pathways to enter the country they want after their visas are rejected for the location. The film will focus on the life of a Punjabi man and his journey to Canada.

Dunki marks the first collaboration of Rajkumar Hirani with Shah Rukh Khan and it is slated to release by the end of this year. While SRK will soon be gearing up for the release of his Pan India collaboration Jawan in June this year, it is slated for release on December 22, 2023.

Movie Review: U-Turn U-TURN rests on Alaya F's fine performance and some thrilling moments

U-TURN is the story of a journalist who gets into trouble while chasing a story. Radhika Bakshi (Alaya F) is a journalist based in Chandigarh and works as an intern for The Indie Times. She has been working on a story about the NTPC Flyover. She has learned that on a regular basis, motorists move the divider blocks on this flyover, that partition the road, just to take a quick U-turn and thereby avoid the traffic. However, once they take the U-turn, they don’t move the blocks back and leave it randomly on the road, leading to several accidents. Radhika befriends a homeless man on the bridge who notes down the numbers of all those who violate this rule and hands it to the former. One day, she finds out that a government official Deepak Kumar (Pankaj Jha) illegally makes the U-turn without putting the divider blocks back in place. Radhika finds out his name and address through a contact in the RTO and decides to meet him and get his version. She rings the bell but he doesn’t answer. The next day, Deepak’s family discovers that he’s no more. Radhika is picked up by the police as she was the last person who paid him a visit. Radhika explains to the cops about her intention and the NTPC Flyover story that she has been working on. Inspector Arjun Sinha (Priyanshu Painyuli) decides to let her go when he sees her material. However, while investigating, he realizes that all the motorists, who broke the flyover and who are mentioned in Radhika’s diary, are dead! Arjun also finds out that Radhika is deeply committed to bringing the culprits to book as she lost her brother Raghav (Dev Dembla) in a road accident, caused by an irresponsible motorist. What happens next forms the rest of the film.

U-TURN is based on the 2016 Kannada film of the same name. Pawan Kumar's original story is thrilling and also subtly informs viewers about the dangers of breaking traffic laws. Parvez Sheikh and Radhika Anand's screenplay is fine till a certain point but the writing, after a point, is too unconvincing and defies logic. Radhika Anand's dialogues are well-worded.

Arif Khan's direction is decent. He keeps the duration in check and has handled some scenes deftly like Radhika’s police interrogation, the drama at the lawyer’s house or the twin deaths in the police lockup.

But it’s the second half where the film falls. The scenes of Radhika getting spooked are clichéd and this is where the film drags. The climax is unpredictable and different from the one in the original version. However, it lacks logic and will leave audiences bewildered. The makers should have attempted to tie the loose ends for a better impact.

Sajna | U-Turn | Alaya F & Priyanshu Painyuli

Speaking of performances, Alaya F is getting better with each film. She delivers a confident and striking performance as the leading lady and carries the film firmly on her shoulders. Priyanshu Painyuli is dependable. Ashim Gulati (Aditya Iyer) looks dashing and is decent in a small role. Manurishi Chadha (Inderjeet Singh Dhillon) has a crucial role and does very well. Rajesh Sharma (H S P Saxena) lends able support. Shreedhar Dubey (Surinder Kumar Yadav; cop) is memorable. The same goes for Tariq Mir (Hariya; midget), Pankaj Jha and Priyanka Arya (Divya; Radhika's colleague). Ashu Sharma (Siddhant Sachdeva; lawyer) is fair. Dev Dembla is good in a cameo. Grusha Kapoor (Radhika's mother), Tasveer Kamil (Sunita Singh) Sahil Takhi (Sodhi; cop) and Surinder Arora (Harry; RTO official) don’ get much scope.

U-TURN is more or less a song-less film. The sole track is played in the end credits and it's forgettable. Ketan Sodha's background score adds to the thrill factor. Anubhav Bansal's cinematography is appropriate. Somanwita Bhattacharya and Protiqe Mojoomdar's production design is realistic. Sanam Ratansi's costumes (for Alaya F) are appealing. Bhumi Shah's costumes for the rest of the actors are fine. Moses Fernandes' action is thrilling. Rohit Ajit Makwana's editing is overall captivating but the film drops in the middle of the second half.

On the whole, U-TURN rests on Alaya F’s fine performance and some thrilling moments. However, the hard-to-digest developments in the climax will leave viewers disappointed big time.

EXCLUSIVE: Namashi Chakraborty lauds his Bad Boy co-star Johnny Lever; says, “He helped me in every scene we did together”

Namashi Chakraborty, son of Mithun Chakraborty, is all set to begin his career with Rajkumar Santoshi directorial Bad Boy. The film is produced by Sajid Qureshi of Inbox Pictures. It also introduces Sajid Qureshi's daughter Amrin Qureshi in this romantic comedy.

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Namashi shared his experience on working with Johnny Lever. Namashi said, “It was an unbelievable experience. I have been the biggest Johnny bhai (Johnny Lever) fan. Growing up in Mumbai and then Ooty, I was the biggest fan of Govinda, Johny bhai, Kader Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Satish Kaushik films because I think they were trendsetting in the 90s. They managed to give consecutive hits for more than ten years and primarily in comedy. To work with Johnny bhai in my very first film just like Raj ji, it was a surreal experience but what I loved about working with him was that he was a very giving actor, a great co-actor and he helped me in the comedy scenes because I have a lot of comedy in the film with him. So, it was a very big challenge but he being Johnny bhai, he helped me in every scene we did together.”

Namashi also shared his expectations from the box office and critics. He said, “I hope they like it because now I think there is enough patch going on in the film industry. So, I hope that they like the film. It is a sweet and simple love story with a lot of humour. It’s a very warm film. So, I hope the critics and audience who watch the film enjoy it.”

Helmed by Rajkumar Santoshi, Bad Boy also stars Rajpal Yadav, Darshan Jariwala and Saswata Chatterjee in pivotal roles. The film is scheduled to release theatrically on April 28, 2023.

Dino Morea spills the beans on why he took up the role of villain in The Agent; says, “This role gave me scope for better acting”

Actor Dino Morea is all set to win hearts with his upcoming project The Agent alongside Mammootty and Akhil Akkineni. The film marks as Dino’s debut in Telugu industry. In a recent interview, he talks about the film, his character and his experience working with his co-stars.

Dino is all set to make his debut in Telugu industry with The Agent. When asked if he felt like a debutant for a different set of audience, he told ETimes, “Yes, I am making my debut for the Telugu film industry, and I do feel like a debutant for this audience because this audience is aware of me but has not really seen me. They are mostly only used to seeing Telugu films.”

After The Empire, this is the second time Dino will be seen playing an antagonist. Talking about what attracted him to this character, Dino said, “The story largely attracted me because it is about three characters: Mammootty sir's character, my character and Akhil's character.”

He added, “It was the story that attracted me to do this film. Also, I say it's good to be bad. And playing bad gives you few limitations on what you can do with your character. So if you are playing this kind of role, there is madness you can bring into the performance that can be attractive to any viewer. This role gave me scope for better acting.”

Sharing his experience working with Akhil Akkineni and Mammootty, Dino stated, “This is my second film with Mammootty sir. I did a small part in a film called Kandakonden Kandakonden, a Tamil film, long ago, and that was my first experience working with him. I am now working with him after about 18–20 years. We all know that Mammootty sir is one of the finest actors we have in this country, so watching him on set was an absolute pleasure. Doing scenes opposite him and with him is just outstanding because our characters oppose each other in this film, and for me, I felt it was always a challenge. I wanted to prove myself and just be fantastic in front of him. So while watching and observing, I was also trying to get better, and that just brings out the best in every actor.

Talking about Akhil, he said, “Likewise with Akhil, he's young and he's got so much energy. His fitness levels are great, and he's looking great in the film. Besides working, our off-screen camaraderie is also outstanding. We struck up a really good friendship. The experience of shooting this film has been fantastic. They really made me feel welcome because this is my debut film in Telugu. I totally respected and loved the experience.”

Directed by Surender Reddy, produced by Anil Sunkara on AK Entertainments' banner, the trailer was already out and had received rave reviews.

50 Years Of Daag: Sharmila Tagore on starring opposite Rajesh Khanna, "We became a hit pair and I think we made some great films together"

Yash Chopra’s Daag starring late Rajesh Khanna, Sharmila Tagore & Rakhee is considered one of the most landmark romantic films of Indian cinema. As the film completes 50 years of its release, Sharmila Tagore speaks about her collaboration with Yash Chopra and what made her pairing with Rajesh Khanna so iconic! The film also saw the birth of Yash Raj Films, the biggest and the only studio in India, today.

She says, “I think it's wonderful that it's now 50 years since we made Daag, yet the movie and the songs remain so popular. In fact, recently Manoj Bajpayee (I made Gulmohar with him) was constantly singing 'Ek Chehre Pe Dusre Chehre Laga Dete Hai Log'. I had to tell him please don’t sing it. My reaction when I was offered Daag was an unparalleled joy, really. I saw it as a great compliment and honour to be a part of Yash’s first venture, his debut as a producer. I was absolutely thrilled.”

Sharmila adds, “Working in Daag was a wonderful experience. Actually working with Yash - even when I worked with him in Waqt was a wonderful experience. He was always so much fun. As a director, he energised everyone on the set. Ask anybody who has worked with him, with his Punjabi endearments and just generally he was like a live wire. We shot in such beautiful locations when we were working for Daag. We were shooting in Shimla one day and I woke up to a landscape covered in snow; a stunning view from my hotel window but that also meant that I had to walk to work as no car could come to us through the snow; I remember that I would get ready in make up-hair and everything and barely walk 5 steps when something had hit me really really hard and it was a snowball.”

She further adds, “I turned around to protest, I found a bunch of giggly girls and they said ‘Yeh toh hamara khel hai, hum toh khelenge’. I tried to explain to them but they wouldn’t listen (laughs). And I had to walk the distance to the location which was thankfully not too far being constantly hit with snowballs; I think I also threw some at them but my aim was not half as good as theirs! But anyway, I think I quite enjoyed that by the end of it; it's another matter that I had to change at the location because I was drenched; so they made a sort of a make-shift room where I changed my sari! Anyway, it was a great experience playing their game ‘Yeh toh hamara khel hai, hum toh khelenge'.”

Speaking about her pairing with Rajesh Khanna she says, “I think Kaka gave a memorable performance in Daag and he looked really really gorgeous in his later avatar as Rakhee’s husband with that moustache and that dashing look ..so you know he played 2 different stages in his life and he already was the heartthrob of the nation and he was very good. I am really very grateful and happy that the audience liked Kaka and I working together and we became a hit pair and I think we made some great films together - Daag of course being one of them and even today they talk about our pair! I'm very grateful.”

Yash Chopra has had an incredible impact on Indian cinema, shaping pop culture for generations. His contribution towards sculpting India’s identity to the West through his cinema is immeasurable as shown by Netflix in the hit global docu-series The Romantics which focuses on his life and career.

For Sharmila, Yash Chopra’s biggest contribution as a filmmaker was “to take our Hindi films to the western audience and popularise Switzerland as the most sought after location. Their government also appreciated this. Complaint filed against Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his Sprite ad for ‘hurting’ Bengali sentiments

A police complaint has been filed against the CEO of Coca-Cola India and actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui for allegedly hurting the sentiments of the Bengali community. The actor recently featured in an ad for the soft drink Sprite which was originally shot in Hindi. No objection was raised on the Hindi version. However, an advocate has filed a complaint raising issues over the Bengali dubbed version.

As reported by Live Mint, an advocate of the Calcutta High Court, Dibyayan Banerji, who is also the petitioner, said, “The main advertisement by Coca-Cola for its product Sprite was in Hindi. And we have no problems with that. We only have a problem with Bengali dubbing of the ad which is running on various TV channels and websites. Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is laughing at one of the jokes, which says, ‘shoja anguley ghee na uthley, Bangali khali petey ghumiye porey’. In English, it means that if Bengalis don’t get anything easily, they sleep hungry. And this, we think, hurts the sentiments of the Bengali community.”

Banerji further said, “There is nothing offensive in the Hindi advertisement. But it attracts section 66A of the IT Act and also section 153 A of the Indian Penal Code. We also want this type of shallow act and gimmicks to not be promoted in the future.”

The dubbed version of the ad allegedly has a joke which means “If they can't take the ghee out with a straight finger, Bengali sleep hungry.”

Reportedly, the Bengali version has been taken down by the company and said in a note that it “regrets the recent ad campaign for the cold drink and that the company respects Bengali language.”

On the work front, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has two releases – Sudhir Mishra’s Afwaah and Jogira Sa Ra Ra. Afwaah stars him alongside Bhumi Pednekar and is slated for a theatrical release on May 5. It also features actors Sumit Kaul, Sharib Hashmi, Sumeet Vyas, TJ Bhanu and Rockey Raina in important roles. He also has Kushan Nandy's Jogira Sa Ra Ra and Noorani Chehra alongside Nupur Sanon. Post Pathaan’s global success, Siddharth Anand emerges as one of the most successful directors of 2023

Earlier this year we saw the release of the much talked about Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan. The film which featured the actor returning to the big screen after a hiatus of over four years was the talk of the town. Directed by Siddharth Anand the Yash Raj Films production also featured John Abraham and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles alongside Neetu Kapoor. Not surprisingly, in the run up to its release, Pathaan was being touted to be one of the biggest money spinners post the pandemic. And living up to expectations the film which saw a wide release opened with a bang, with positive reviews and highly encouraging audience feedback the business of the film witnessed growth by leaps and bounds.

Interestingly, Pathaan has managed to fare well in both the domestic and overseas markets as well. While back home the film saw a staggering Rs. 534.05 cr. coming in at the box office, overseas the Shah Rukh Khan starrer drew in a whopping Rs. 396.02 cr. gross during its theatrical run. In fact, the film became a global phenomenon as audiences thronged to theatres, again and again, to make this a monstrous hit like no other, collecting over Rs. 1050.30 crores worldwide gross! In a media interaction around the release and subsequent success of Pathaan, Siddharth Anand had said, “I'm happy that Pathaan has become a game-changer for the industry. We were said to have been boycotted by people. I'm happy that Pathaan has become the answer to all that talk. The industry has heard enough. I'm happy that we have let our work do the talking.”

Looking closer at the box office collections, with the stupendous success of Pathaan, Siddharth Anand is ranked second among the all-time Top directors in terms of domestic box office business. While Rohit Shetty leads the chart with a cumulative collection of Rs. 1656.86 cr. from 15 releases, Anand clinches the second spot with collections of Rs. 1183.12 cr. from just 7 releases. If that was not enough, between the two directors, Anand emerges as the one with the highest solo-grossing film with Pathaan clocking Rs. 543.05 cr. alone, with the only other director in comparison being SS Rajamouli whose Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion (Hindi) had raked in Rs. 510.99 cr.

Now, with Pathaan, following the success of his previous release War that released in 2019, not mentioning other hits like Salaam Namaste, and Bang Bang, Anand has proved his mettle in delivering content that resonates with the audience even years after its release.

Diljit Dosanjh fires back at trolls alleging he disrespected the Indian flag at Coachella 2023: 'If you don't know Punjabi then Google it'

The 2023 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival became a huge platform for South Asian artists to take over the stage and enthral music-goers. Punjabi actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh’s enthralling performances on two weekends took over the internet by storm. However, the singer had to fire back at trolls who were spreading edited video of his to allege that he disrespected the Indian flag.

A video of Diljit Dosanjh surfaced online in which he was speaking about a woman waving the Indian flag in the crowd. At the concert, the singer said, “Eh mere Punjabi bhain bhraawan layi, mere desh da jhanda laike khadi aa kudi, eh mere desh layi, negativity ton bacho, music saareyan da saanjha (This is for my Punjabi brothers and sisters, this girl is holding my country's flag. Stay away from negativity. Music is for everyone).”

The video was seemingly edited online and presented online in a way that looked like he disrespected the Indian flag. “So @diljitdosanjh objects when someone waves Indian tricolour during one of his concert in US. Which passport he’s carrying? Republic of KhaIistan? Shame one those Indians who listen to such 2rs artists,” read a comment with the video.

Diljit fired back at the fake news spreading and wrote on Twitter, “DON’T SPREAD FAKE NEWS and NEGATIVITY. Mai Kiha Eh Mere Desh Da Jhanda Hai. Eh Mere Desh Lai.. Means MERI Eh Performance Mere desh Lai. For the past two weekends, Diljit Dosanjh took the Coachella stage in California. The singer became the first Punjabi artist ever to perform at Coachella 2023. Donning a traditional black kurta on one Saturday and white kurta with lungi and turban on second Saturday, he obliterated the stage with many of his hit tracks including ‘Patiala Peg’, ‘GOAT’, ‘Ni Mein LA Nu’ and ‘Vibe’ among others. Diljit Dosanjh addressed the crowd in Punjabi and said “Punjabis have taken over Coachella.”

Diljit Dosanjh is known for his Punjabi music and movies, including the albums Smile, Back 2 Basics, Con.Fi.Den.Tial, G.O.A.T and Moonchild. He has also contributed as a singer to several Bollywood movies.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Diljit Dosanjh recently unveiled the first trailer of his upcoming Punjabi movie, Jodi. Set for May 5 release, the film stars him opposite Saunkan Saunkne actress Nimrat Khaira. He will also be seen in Imtiaz Ali's directorial Chamkila with Parineeti Chopra. The actor has also signed The Crew alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kriti Sanon and Tabu. Aamir Khan and Raveena Tandon to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s radio talk show Mann Ki Baat 100 conclave

Bollywood actors Aamir Khan and Raveena Tandon will be attending Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio talk show Mann Ki Baat conclave in New Delhi on the completion of 100 episodes of the show. For the same, Aamir reached New Delhi's Vigyan Bhawan to attend the national conclave. Raveena will be doing a panel on nari shakti (women power).

As per Indian Express, along with the two actors, sportspersons Deepa Malik and Nikhat Zareen, several journalists, radio jockeys and entrepreneurs will be in attendance for the national conclave. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and MoS for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary will be attending the event for the valedictory session. The event will be inaugurated by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. I&B Minister Anurag Thakur will be the guest of honour.

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan was last seen in the Hindi adaptation of Forrest Gump, Laal Singh Chaddha. It released in August 2022. The actor is yet to announce his next project.

Shah Rukh Khan receives flowers and warm welcome as he lands in Kashmir for Dunki shoot, watch videos

With the earth-shattering success of Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan is leaving no stone unturned in making sure his next set of releases sticks to the timeline. The actor reached Kashmir on April 24 for the shoot of Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. The actor received a warm welcome as he arrived amid much fanfare.

Shah Rukh Khan was dressed in all black as he arrived in Kashmir. In videos that surfaced online, he was surrounded by people as he received a bouquet of flowers and was given a shawl that he wore around his neck. He was walking beside his long-time manager. Fans were delighted to see Shah Rukh Khan.

As per a previous report in News18, Kashmir has been trying to revive the movie shoot culture. Satyaprem Ki Katha and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani were the recent movies that were shot in Kashmir. Rajkumar Hirani and his team visited the Sonamarg last week and will reportedly shoot a song with choreographer Ganesh Acharya.

The film is backed by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. It will release on the big screen on December 22, 2023. The film stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead role. The film also stars Satish Shah and Boman Irani. It is a story about immigration. Dunki has already been shot in Mumbai, Budapest and London.

 With Dunki, Shah Rukh Khan will have three releases in 2023. With Pathaan, the collections crossed Rs. 1000 crore at the worldwide box office. It released in theatres on January 25, 2023. The film stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. It is directed by Siddharth Anand. Apart from that, he will be seen in Atlee's Jawan in June 2023. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. Vijay Varma and Tamannaah Bhatia have yet again grabbed eyeballs as the paparazzi spotted them together in Mumbai earlier this week. The pair, who are rumoured to be dating since December last year, were spotted taking a ride together, further leading to reports about their date night. The video has found its way on social media with many users stating their opinion about the two actors coming together.

In a video shared by a paparazzo account, Vijay Varma and Tamannaah Bhatia were seen getting into a car, further leading to reports about them going on a date. Although the couple has never refrained from posing or being spotted together, neither of them have spoken about their relationship and have maintained silence regarding the same. However, many social media users shared their opinion about the couple dating. While some fans expressed utter shock about the couple coming together, a few others appreciated them.

“I don’t believe this,” added one of the fans who couldn’t fathom Tamannah and Vijay together, whereas another one said, “wah ... kafi unpredictable”. Yet another comment read, “Kya matlab ye dono date kar rahe hai” whereas a user mentioned, “Both look super awkward”. One of the fans also added that even though they are great actors, they don’t look good together, “Actors ek number hai ye par jach nai raha saath me bilkul bhi”.

On a positive note, there were a few who only had love and happiness for the couple. “Pyar me koi bada chota nahi hota sabki apni pasand hai (There is nothing good or bad in love. Everyone has their own choice)” voiced out one of the users supporting the two actors. “They seem like a nice and genuine couple,” added a fan whereas another one said, “both of them have good taste”. Yet another comment read, “They look cute together”.

Vijay Varma and Tamannaah Bhatia first sparked dating rumours after attending a New Year’s Eve bash together in Goa. In fact, videos of them dancing together and even kissing found its way on social media and went viral. On the work front, Vijay has the Sonakshi Sinha starrer Dahaad and the Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer The Devotion of Suspect X adaptation in the pipeline whereas Tamannaah Bhatia is currently gearing up for the release of Bholaa Shankar with Chiranjeevi and Keerthy Suresh as well as the Rajinikanth starrer Jailer.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan CONFIRMED for June 2 release; new promo to be launched in the first week of May

Shah Rukh Khan gave a lot of happiness to the trade, industry and also moviegoers thanks to the super-success of Pathaan (2023). Directed by Siddharth Anand, it emerged as the biggest Hindi grosser of all time, surpassing even Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion (2017). Hence, it’s no surprise that his next film, Jawan, is eagerly awaited. That it looks quite massy and commercial has upped the buzz and excitement to significant levels.

For a few months, there have been reports that Jawan might not release on its scheduled release date, that is, June 2, 2023. However, a source told Bollywood Hungama, “The film is mostly confirmed for a release on June 2. The team of Red Chillies Entertainment and director Atlee are working round the clock and ensuring that the film makes it to cinemas on the said date.”

The source further added, “The team of Jawan is also gearing up to begin the promotions of the film. It is expected to start next week, that is, the first week of May. It’ll be a tight 4-5-week promotional campaign. The trailer is expected to be out soon followed by the songs. The excitement for Jawan is already there and these assets will further heighten the hype.”

Another source, however, added, “A teaser might be released first and it’ll be followed by the theatrical trailer. The teaser, which was released last year, was more of an introduction for the viewers to the world of Jawan. The new teaser and trailer will give a better idea of the characters and plot.”

Besides Shah Rukh Khan, Jawan also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Sanya Malhotra. Deepika Padukone will be seen in a cameo. As per reports, SRK has a double role in this action entertainer.

After Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan’s next release will be Dunki. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, it is expected to hit theatres on Christmas 2023. At present, Shah Rukh is shooting for it in Kashmir. The leaked images from the sets are doing the rounds on the internet.

Alia Bhatt buys a new house in Bandra for whopping Rs. 37.80 crore, gifts two flats worth Rs. 7.68 crore to her sister Shaheen

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has made some hefty property investments in the month of April 2023. The actress has purchased a new house in Bandra worth Rs. 37.80 crore. This is bought by her production house Eternal Sunshine Production Pvt. Ltd.

As per the reports, the property is spread across 2,497 sq ft. The actress paid Rs. 2.26 crore stamp duty and registered the sale agreement on April 10, 2023.

Apart from this, Alia Bhatt gifted two of her flats in Mumbai to her sister Shaheen Bhatt which are worth Rs. 7.68 crore on April 10. It is being reported that the flats are spread across 2,086.75 sq ft in Gigi Apartments in Juhu, Mumbai. A stamp duty of Rs. 30.75 lakh was paid by her.

On the work front, Alia Bhatt has an exciting year ahead with the release of Netflix’s Heart of Stone with Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan. She also has Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Badshah apologises for hurting sentiments with ‘Sanak’; to remove Lord Shiva’s name and make correction in the lyrics: ‘I would never willingly or unknowingly cause offence to anyone’s sentiments’

Rapper Badshah on Sunday took to Instagram to release a statement after his latest hit track ‘Sanak’ began to receive backlash from certain sections of society for its questionable lyrics. The rapper said that he would never knowingly and willingly hurt anyone’s sentiments and apologized for it.

“It has been brought to my attention that one of my recent releases, Sanak, sadly seems to have hurt the sentiments of some people. I would never willingly or unknowingly cause offence to anyone’s sentiments. I bring my artistic creations and musical compositions to you, my fans, with the utmost sincerity and passion. In light of this recent development, I have taken proactive measures to change some parts of the song and actioned the replacement with this new version on all digital platforms to further avoid hurting anyone,” he wrote on Instagram.

“The replacement process takes a few days before the changes will reflect on all platforms, I request everyone to be patient during this period. I humbly offer my sincerest apologies to those whom I may have unknowingly hurt. My fans remain my bedrock, and I shall always hold them in the highest esteem and with boundless affection. Love Badshah,” he added.

As per several reports, Mahakaleshwar Temple’s senior priest in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain district had slammed Bashshah for using the name of Lord Shiva in the lyrics. He asked the rapper to remove the objective bits and also apologise for hurting the sentiments.
