Despite initially considering the bungalow located in the Lokhandwala area, Urvashi Rautela made the decision not to proceed with it. Instead, she discovered her new abode in Juhu Scheme, a sought-after neighborhood in Mumbai.

On the work front, Urvashi is eagerly anticipating the release of her two upcoming Telugu films, namely Zebra and Black Rose. At present, the specific release dates and details about the films' plots are yet to be disclosed. Additionally, she is set to star alongside Akshay Oberoi in Dil Hai Gray, a crime thriller that encompasses elements of cop drama.

Rani Mukerji on whether women-centric films are box-office draws: "A good film will always bring people to the theatres and the gender has no role to play"

Rani Mukerji has given Indian cinema some powerful female protagonists who have played a huge hand in shaping the way women are viewed in society today. A towering actor, Rani shares her vision to represent women correctly in films.

Rani says, “As an actor, your vision for cinema and roles will constantly evolve but one thing that’s constantly stayed for me is the way I wanted to portray and represent women on screen. Women are the backbone of a family and society and I think, as an actor, I have a responsibility to show this to as many people as possible across my country and the world.“

She adds, “Cinema can have a lasting impression on the minds of people. It is a very powerful tool to trigger a national conversation and I became conscious very early on in my career that I could make a real change in the way women are projected on-screen, that could be positive.”

Rani wanted to show girls as fiercely independent and self-reliant in films. She says, “I made it a point to choose films where the girl is also pivotal to the plot, where the girl is projected with dignity and power. For me, women have always been agents of change. They have been independent, courageous, caring, pursuers of dreams and the best multitasker you can ever find. I wanted to highlight these facets of a woman by choosing characters that echo this belief system of mine.”

Rani adds, “So, if you see films like Black, Veer Zaara, Mardaani series, Yuva, No One Killed Jessica, Hichki or even my latest film Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway, to name a few, the girls I play are central to the plot, the sheroes that people have adored and accepted for being who they are.”

In her last release, Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway (MCVN), Rani again played a feisty woman who took on a country to win back her children. The film was a resounding hit at the box office and it brought back the belief that content cinema could pull in people to theatres in this post-pandemic world. Rani says, “The fact that MCVN is a hit today is because people want to see strong woman protagonists like this on the big screen. There is constant chatter whether women-centric films are box office draws? That concerns me, of course they are box office draws. A film is a hit when producers make money from it and it is not just about how much it collects at the box office because one should also factor in the cost of the film.”

She adds, “There is a lot of misconception about what a hit means and I think people should pay attention to this before passing judgement if a film is profitable. Ali Abbas Zafar says they are going with the gut for Shahid Kapoor starrer: “Bloody Daddy is designed in a way that it can be taken forward”

Following the release of Farzi on Prime Video India, Shahid Kapoor is set for another direct-to-digital release. Titled Bloody Daddy, which is set to premiere on JioCinema on June 9, the film is helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar. This marks their first collaboration on screen. Zafar says that they are hoping that the film gets bigger and is designed in a way to take it forward.

“We are going with that gut and we are hoping that this becomes bigger. It’s designed in a way that it can be taken forward. And let’s see, what destiny holds for us from there,” the filmmaker told PTI. The filmmaker also said that the relatability of the content is the success parameter these days rather than box office numbers. “The relatability right now has become the box office. It’s not numbers anymore,” he added.

Zafar wanted to go grittier in terms of storytelling. He said, “Shahid and I had this continuous battle. I was telling him, ‘Let’s open up a bit more’ and he used to say, ‘Ali, I’m not that commercial. I completely respected that fact because what it made me do is something which is new.”

Sunny Leone on her Cannes experience for Kennedy, “Beautiful films and beautiful gowns go hand-in-hand”

Sunny Leone recently made her debut at the Cannes Film Festival since her movie Kennedy has been selected over there. She has been making waves at the red carpet of the festival with her fashion choices. But in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, she spoke about her experience of being at Cannes and what it means to be a part of Kennedy, which is directed by Anurag Kashyap and it also stars Rahul Bhat.

How has the experience been so far? It was amazing to be at Cannes for the very first time for a film that I am part of. It is unbelievable here. From the iconic people to the incredible films… just being here is a dream come true.

What is the most amazing part of the Cannes experience? The most amazing thing about Cannes is to just gawk at these beautiful people, see what they are wearing. I just want to park my seat in the hotel lobby and watch everyone going by. Although that would look rather bizarre, ha ha. But the visitors here at Cannes are so fascinating to just look at.

Have you been able to watch any films there? So, because I am here representing my film Kennedy, my director Anurag Kashyap, my co-star Rahul Bhat and I are giving non-stop interviews, photoshoots and all of it. So no, I’ve not seen any films, except mine, of course. But I hope I can catch at least a few of the more talked-about films.

There is a strong buzz about the film I am so happy to hear that. It means so much to me to be part of this wonderful film. Everyone worked so hard on it. And to then just be part of it was amazing. Then when I got to know we were taking the film to Cannes, my excitement just doubled or tripled.

What does this experience actually mean to you? I can’t believe I am here in Cannes with my film! The significance of this is well and beyond my wildest dreams.

How do you see the future from here? Step by step is the main goal from here (laughs). There are moments here that are pretty overwhelming. But as far (as) getting overwhelmed is concerned, I am here to represent a film, and you have to see it as work. Every day is a unique experience here in Cannes as far as meeting new people is concerned. But that apart, it feels like any promotional campaign for any film, whether you are in Cannes or Mumbai, it doesn’t matter where you are talking about your film. Of course, the location and the importance of the promotion is massively grand in   Cannes.

Does the enormity of it all hit you? There are moments when I go through crazy anxiety. You just have to get over it. Give yourself a pep talk and tell yourself to get going.

It is being said that Cannes has become more about the gown than movies? From my perspective, Cannes is mainly about the films, and I think we are going (to) have many celebrities coming to the films and walking the red carpet. They will all have a different agenda. At the same time, it all goes hand-in-hand, the beautiful gowns and the beautiful films.

What is your favourite part of the Cannes experience? It is very, very exciting to see who is coming to your film wearing what. Hopefully they watch your film and don’t just exit after entering. That shouldn’t be. I think there is a core of allure about coming to Cannes. If you can figure out the purpose of Cannes and make it both a sartorial and intellectual experience, then you have got it right.

As for you? As for me, I have a beautiful film and I have beautiful clothes. And I love to walk the red carpet. I love being part of the different events here at the festival. They make me feel fortunate.

The off-the-shoulder dress featured statement 3-D florals on its shoulder that, due to their sheer size and volume, nearly reached the waist.

Styled by Priyanka Kapadia, the actor accessorized minimally in dainty Chopard drop earrings and blingy baubles for the fingers and finished off with silver Gianvito Rossi heeled sandals. Anushka Sharma sparkled in earrings in Fairmined-certified ethical 18ct white gold and yellow gold featuring a pair of pear-shaped yellow diamonds totaling 23.17-carats and 8.03-carats of pear-shaped white diamonds, a ring in 18ct yellow gold featuring a 20.36-carat yellow sapphire, yellow sapphires and diamonds, a ring in Fairmined-certified ethical 18-carat white gold featuring a 5.49-carat oval-shaped diamond and diamonds, all from the Haute Joaillerie Collection, and a diamond ring in ethical 18-carat white gold from the L’Heure du Diamant Collection.

Sharma chose a tight, sleek updo to draw attention to the prominent rosettes on her shoulder. To go with the tenderness the cream of her gown bestowed, she also chose soft brown smokey eyes and a pinkish brown lip. Anushka Sharma's film festival debut will be remembered for a number of reasons, including the simple yet effective makeup and hair she wore.

For the unversed, the film was earlier titled as Satyanarayan Ki Katha, which translates to The Story of Satyanarayan, another name for the Hindu god Vishnu, which caused controversy. The title change was announced in a statement by director Sameer Vidwans in 2021.

Kartik re-posted the comment on his official Instagram account, stating that the title would be modified to avoid offending anyone. “A title of the film is something that emerges organically through the creative process. We have taken a decision to change the title of our recently announced film Satyanarayan Ki Katha to avoid hurting sentiments, even if that's purely unintentional. Producers of the film and the creative team also are in complete support of this decision. We will be announcing a new title for our love story in the due course of our journey. Sincerely, Sameer Vidwans,” the statement read.

Satyaprem Ki Katha also marked a massive collaboration between NGE and Namah Pictures. Interestingly, Sajid Nadiadwala and Shareen Mantri Kedia with Kishor Arora & director Sameer Vidwans won a National Award for their respective feature films Chhichhore and Anandi Gopal. Satyaprem Ki Katha is slated to hit theatres on June 29, 2023.

Of course, we know this, but seeing it being celebrated. I was with actors from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, Paris, I even met Leonardo DiCaprio. I think ultimately despite all our national differences, in terms of regions, the passion that we all feel is the same. Truly, it shows me how cinema transcends all kinds of nationalistic boundaries.”

Further talking to the same news portal when Sara was asked who she wanted to walk the red carpet with, she said, “I think right now Vicky Kaushal is the only one I’ll say though you said Hollywood, but Ryan Gosling. Main hamesha aise hi karti hoon, main sahi jawaab deke bol hi deti hoon!”

Gulshan Devaiah reflects on working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali; says, “People are scared of him, so they do not enjoy working with him”

During a recent interview with Amar Ujala, Gulshan shared his thoughts on collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He said, “If you do not have the patience, aapka dimag pak jaega (you may get bored). He takes his work very seriously and is very dedicated to his work. He expects complete dedication and submission from others as well, but it is impossible for most.”

He further added, “That hampers the balance. People are also afraid of him. I gathered the courage to talk to him and would often sit with him in front of the monitor to watch his style of work. People are scared of him, so they do not enjoy working with him. I would often talk to him fearlessly, and he liked this aspect of mine.”

Gulshan Devaiah has been actively involved in various projects on the work front. He was recently seen in the web series titled Dahaad, which features an ensemble cast including Sonakshi Sinha and Vijay Varma. The series is currently streaming on Prime Video, entertaining audiences with its compelling storyline. His film 8 AM Metro also released this month. IIFA Awards 2023: Babil Khan says he will ‘strive harder’ after winning the Best Debut Actor award for Qala

IIFA Awards 2023 was held in Yas Island, Dubai and it was indeed a star-studded evening filled with glitz, glamour, and remarkable talent. Among the rising stars who owned the stage was Babil Khan, who seems to have left the critics impressed with his stellar performance in the movie Qala, co-starring Triptii Dimri. Last week, Kareena Kapoor Khan had joined the team of her upcoming film The Crew, which included co-actress Kriti Sanon and Tabu in Goa. The trio will be coming together for the first time in this Rhea Kapoor production, which is also expected to co-star Diljit Dosanjh. Recently, the trio returned to the city with Kriti taking off to attend IIFA Awards 2023 in Dubai.

As for Bebo’s upcoming projects, the actress is all set to make her OTT debut this year with the Netflix film directed by Sujoy Ghosh, an adaptation of the Japanese thriller novel Devotion of Suspect X. The actress will also be featuring in Hansal Mehta’s next.

EXCLUSIVE: Gulshan Devaiah celebrates his birthday amid success of Dahaad, “My ex-wife, who is my best friend, has booked a table at an expensive restaurant”

The month of May is special for Gulshan Devaiah. Apart from it being his birthday, his two projects – his web series Dahaad and movie 8 AM Metro – released in this month. “This month has been special for me. Dahaad became a hit and my film 8 AM Metro was released in theatres. Although only a few people saw it, they have liked it. My work has been appreciated in it. Birthday months are lucky months,” he said in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama.

Devaiah completes 45 today but he tells us that he doesn’t quite like celebrating. “I wish to do nothing, but people don’t let you do that,” he said. “Friends will make some plan. Chalti nahin hai aapki marzi. My ex-wife (Kalliroi Tziafeta) is my best friend. She has somehow managed to book a table in an expensive restaurant.”

Directed by Reema Kagti and Ruckika Oberoi and streamed on Amazon Prime Video, Dahaad is a gritty crime drama taking place in the interiors of Rajasthan, where nobody generally shoots. Devaiah said that the biggest challenge for the team was the cold weather.

“We didn’t feel that we were shooting at a place where nobody shoots,” said the actor. “Shooting in the cold was challenging. We were given summer uniforms, but we were shooting in the winter. Other than this, there was no other challenge. It was a very good team and we enjoyed.”

Dahaad stars Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role of a sub-inspector. Devaiah, who plays her senior, had a lot of scenes with her. “We used to do a lot of time pass and chat,” he said. “We used to play volleyball and badminton. We got a good chance of knowing each other. We developed a good friendship. It helps when you are working with someone you are comfortable with. She lives a very active lifestyle. She likes sports.”

Devaiah’s character Devilal Singh is usually calm but there is one scene in the ending portions where he loses his cool and screams at his wife in a moment of conflict. Recalling that moment, Devaiah said, “It will burst out at some point. I don’t exactly remember if it was in the script or we improvised. If a person is always keeping calm in tough situations, the anger and frustration will eventually come out in some way on someone; he is a human after all. He also blurts out to his wife that she is backward.”

Lalit Pandit gets emotional; says, “Fanaa was the last film Jatin & I composed together,”

The last film that Jatin-Lalit did together was Kunal Kohli’s Fanaa. Says Lalit emotionally, “The movie completed seventeen years today and it was just about sixteen years that Jatin and I worked together before we split in 2006. I look at Fanaa from a very special point of view and hold that film very close to my heart to tell the truth, we had split while the music of Fanaa was still work in progress. I had gone and met Adi and told him Jatin and Lalit will not be working together after this film.

Lalit says Fanaa producer Aditya Chopra tried to convince the brothers against the split. Adi was very upset, and he did call Jatin and me both to his place, spoke to us and advised that it was a terrible decision which was of course anticipated and understood by both of us. For about two years prior to this I was getting signs that us being together wouldn’t last long and it was terribly stressful.”

Remembering the split Lalit gets upset. “I wouldn’t like to elaborate further except, that since it was to be the last film, we would work together I wanted to give all I had to make this a score which would be remembered always. During the recordings itself Jatin had stopped coming to the studio gradually after his only song in the film Des Rangila got recorded. I, with the rest of the team and director Kunal Kohli kept working on the rest of the songs and we worked really hard to achieve the quality that eventually emerged in Fanaa’s music.”

However, despite the split the show went on for Lalit. “The good thing was the studio was always available for me since it was a YRF home production. Incidentally Fanaa was also the first film that was recorded in the new YRF studio, and no one was really sure how the sound would be. It did take months of studio work for me to finalise the mixes of all the songs. I had it in my heart that since this was to be the last film of a big brand name Jatin-Lalit’s last musical score it would have to be the best score of the year.”

Eventually Fanaa did get nominated for best score and for the song ‘Chand Sifarish’, it won all the awards that year for Shaan as best singer.

Recalls Lalit, “When the best music award went to A R Rehman in his speech, he did say he was sad to know that Jatin and Lalit wouldn’t be working together again, that was sweet of him. When the final day of the mix was finished and Adi was supposed to hear the final product, we met in the evening and heard all the songs together. Everything sounded good and when Adi and I were going down from the recording studio he asked me, “Kya lagta hai music ka??” I told him, “Ye dil se nikla hai aur logon ke dil tak pahunchega.” . As time flew by, the music of Fanaa was a huge success and Adi called me and said, “Guess what? Fanaa is the highest selling music for YRF”. It was so good to hear that I will never forget it. Bhagwan ne hamari izzat Rakh li! My brother and I are perhaps the only musical jodi that ended our carrier right at its peak.”

Is there a possibility of Jatin-Lalit getting together again? “I always feel very humble and apologetic towards people who have enjoyed our music and kept asking us to get back together. I deeply apologise to them all and appreciate all the respect and love they have shown over the years to us and our music, and still do. Fanaa will always be very close to my heart always.”

Mahima Chaudhry says she "gets a lot of strength seeing" Emergency co-star Kangana Ranaut; praises her directorial skills

During a recent event, Mahima Chaudhry expressed her admiration for Kangana Ranaut's directorial abilities while working on the film Emergency. When asked about her experience under Kangana's direction, Chaudhry responded, "She's not only a very phenomenal actress but also a very capable and talented director too." 

Praising Ranaut's meticulousness, she added, "She does a lot of research and is very confident. It was a very good experience working under her direction." Chaudhry further emphasized the impact Kangana had on her, stating, "I always kept telling her on the sets too that I get a lot of strength seeing her and get to learn so much from her because she's very, very good at her work." 

Prior to Chaudhry’s remarks, Kangana Ranaut had shared an update about Emergency on her Instagram story, revealing that the film has now entered the post-production stage. The upcoming movie marks Ranaut's debut as a solo director, adding another impressive dimension to her versatile career.

Emergency revolves around the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, with Kangana Ranaut essaying the titular role of the late politician. The film offers a glimpse into the controversial period of India's political history, presenting a captivating narrative that promises to engage audiences.

Besides Ranaut and Chaudhry, the ensemble star cast of the film also features  Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Milind Soman, and Vishak Nair in pivotal roles. It was slated to release on October 20. However, the Queen actress decided to change the release date with Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon’s Ganapath releasing on the same day.

Imlie actor Karan Vohra and his wife Bella to welcome twins; share a glimpse of their baby shower

Imlie actor Karan Vohra, who is currently essaying the role of Atharva Rana and former husband of Imlie Rana, is all set to become a father in real life. Moreover, in a recent post, the actor revealed that he and his wife Bella are all set to welcome twins. Karan Vohra entered Imlie after the major leap wherein Megha Chakraborthy was roped in to play Jr. Imlie, who is the daughter of Imlie (Sumbul Touqeer) and Aryan (Fahmaan Khan).

Karan Vohra, who generally shares sneak peek into the world of his ongoing popular show Imlie on Star Plus, posted a glimpse of his personal life recently. Oh Baby! What else can we say? We have babies on the way’, which further confirmed the speculations that the couple is having twins.

In a report with ETimes, Karan confessed that he wanted to get his wife and children to Mumbai, two months after the delivery. He said, "I want to cherish every moment of their growing up years. I am very excited about seeing Bella's happiness. We stay connected virtually and she keeps updating me about the babies. Movie Review: Jogira Sara Ra Ra JOGIRA SARA RA RA is a decent attempt and had the potential to be an entertainer.

JOGIRA SARA RA RA is the story of a wedding planner in jeopardy. Jogi Pratap (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) lives in Lucknow and works as a wedding planner for a company named ‘Shaandaar Events’. His family comprises of his mother (Zarina Wahab), sister Sarita (Suman Patel), his aunt and a few other sisters. He’s frustrated living with them. He feels that if he gets married, it would mean having one more woman in his family, which according to him will be catastrophic. As a result, he decides to never get hitched. One day, Devki Nandan Chaubey (Bhagwan Tiwari) hires the services of Jogi for the marriage of his daughter Dimple (Neha Sharma) with Lallu Pandey (Mahaakshay Chakraborty). Dimple doesn’t want to get married and she asks Jogi to help break off the marriage. Jogi comes up with various smart ideas, all of which backfire. Finally, he fakes Dimple’s kidnapping. He befriends Lallu and poisons his mind that marrying a girl, who has been kidnapped, is looked down upon in society. Lallu decides to hence break off the wedding. Dimple is overjoyed. All is going until one day, things go awry and Jogi is forced to tie the knot with Dimple. What happens next forms the rest of the film.

Ghalib Asad Bhopali's story is fun-filled and in the feel-good zone of films like BAREILLY KI BARFI [2017], SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAAN [2017], TANU WEDS MANU [2011] etc. Ghalib Asad Bhopali's screenplay is okay till a certain point but later on, it goes haywire. Ghalib Asad Bhopali's dialogues are brilliant and are sure to raise laughs.

Kushan Nandy's direction is fair. He has handled several moments with panache like Lallu dancing to Mithun Chakraborty’s songs, Jogi’s fight with his sister and then trying to make amends, Chacha Chaudhary (Sanjay Mishra)’s carrom game moment etc.

On the flipside, while the first half is funny and to the point, things happen at random in the second half. Jogi pretending to be suffering from a sexually transmitted disease is a great plot point but the makers don’t give it a logical conclusion. The same happens with the pregnancy, jailbreak and kidnapping tracks. The Priyadarshan-style climax doesn’t make the desired impact either.

Speaking of performances, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is in his element. His comic timing is spot-on. It’s also refreshing to see him in such a light-hearted film for a change. Neha Sharma has a fine screen presence but one wishes her rebellious character had more to do, especially in the second half. Mahaakshay Chakraborty is adorable and unrecognizable. Sanjay Mishra raises laughs. Zarina Wahab is dependable. Suman Patel and Rohit Chaudhary (Manu) do well. Bhagwan Tiwari, Shubhrajyoti Barat (Dimple's mama), Vishwanath Chatterjee (Inspector Yadav), Ghanshyam Garg (SI Yadav) and Hemant Pandey (Bittu) are fair. The late Farrukh Jaffar is cute. Nikki Tamboli fails to add to the sizzle in the item song.

Songs are catchy. 'Torture', played in the beginning, is foot-tapping. 'Babua' is well choreographed and shot. 'Cocktail' is okay. Anup Bhat's background score is in sync with the quirky feel of the film.

Sourabh Waghmare's cinematography is neat. Shadab Malik's costumes for Nawazuddin Siddiqui are stylish. Malvika Bajaj's costumes for the rest are real while those of Neha Sharma are glamorous. Mayur Tripathi's production design is straight out of life. Late Kaushal Naseem's action is fine. Virendra Gharse's editing is sharp.

On the whole, JOGIRA SARA RA RA is a decent attempt and had the potential to be a complete entertainer. However, it suffers due to a weak and flawed second half. At the box office, it releases with limited awareness and hype. Hence, it’ll struggle to find an audience.

IIFA 2023: Abhishek Bachchan: "Our cinema is reaching different corners of the world"

Actors Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal are set to host the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2023. The press conference on Thursday was attended by Farah Khan and Rajkummar Rao along with performers Salman Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, Nora Fatehi, Jacqueline Fernandez, Amit Trivedi, Badshah, Nucleya, Sunidhi Chauhan and Iulia Vantur. Bachchan says that it is good to be back in Abu Dhabi which is hosting IIFA for the second time in a row.

 Speaking to Khaleej Times, he said, "I think it is wonderful. Our cinema is reaching different corners of the world. I think that's something to be very happy about."

Talking about the stage fear and hosting duties, he added, "You think you get used to it, but you don't. And I think that's good because if you have stage fright and if you're nervous about going on stage somewhere, it means that it matters. I'd hate to be in a situation where I am careless about it."

He further said, "I like the idea that there is nervousness because that nervousness makes it mean something to you. It means you know it makes a difference if you do your best or not."

The grand finale of the IIFA Awards will take place on May 27 and will be hosted by Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal along with electrifying performances by Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Nora Fatehi and Rakul Preet Singh. Adah Sharma on her mobile number being exposed online; says, “The person who leaked it, has been up to some other activities too for a long time”

Adah Sharma has faced persistent trolling and hateful comments since the release of The Kerala Story on May 5. Despite this, the film has achieved remarkable success, joining the prestigious Rs 200 crore-club within just 18 days. Unfortunately, recent reports revealed that an Instagram hacker leaked her personal phone number and other private information on social media. However, the Instagram profile in question has reportedly been removed following multiple user reports.

Sharing her experience, she revealed that she became fully aware of the seriousness of the situation when she was inundated with a number of calls and messages, with a significant portion of them containing threats. Adah told Hindustan Times, “I feel just like any other girl would feel with her number being leaked out with morphed images. It shows the perverse mentality of the person who would stoop so low and get joy doing this. It reminds me of a scene in The Kerala Story where a girl is bullied by publicly publishing her number.”

Adah further stated that the individual responsible for the leak is also engaged in various other malicious activities. “The person who leaked it, has been up to some other activities too for a long time which the cops have found out so me having to change my number is a small price to pay to have this person be behind bars,” said Adah.

She acknowledged that she has faced considerable scrutiny due to her film, which explores the themes of ideological and religious conversion following radicalization. Adah stated, “I stand with my film which is against terrorism and speaks about how our national security is under threat and here is an example of a terrorist bullying on a small scale when he doesn’t get his way. When in a crisis you know who actually stands up for you and I have to say the people in India have really stood up. They were the ones to find the page of this person. The Kerala Story is exposing a terror nexus, their step-by-step plan. So of course, it will anger those involved.”

With Adah Sharma playing the role of Shalini Unnikrishnan, The Kerala Story is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The film portrays the story of young South Indian girls who are manipulated into converting their religion and are forcibly made to join the ISIS. While the film is said to be based on true events, a lot of allegations are being made against the film because of its story. The film released in India on May 5, 2023.

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's Kennedy is all set for the premiere at Cannes Film Festival 2023. The film stars Sunny Leone and Rahul Bhat. Leone, currently in Cannes, said this was one of the most amazing moments in her career. She also said that no one can now question her and say she is here for the 'glamour quotient' only.

In a conversation with Forbes India, Sunny Leone said, “I believe that your actions are louder than your words. All those people who said you can’t do this, or you’re not good enough, or you know you are just Sunny Leone, the porn star, you are just this glamour quotient that we’ve added, all of these different comments that have gone on for so many years. You can’t say that this time. You can’t just say Sunny Leone is in this film because of who she is and what her past was.”

“People out there don’t always know how their comments or what they say or people who write these articles that are just nasty or people who don’t believe in you, they think the worst of you. You hide behind your smile going, ‘no, it’s okay, I’m going to push past this’ but deep down inside it does hurt your feelings and it does affect you but as an entertainer, you are not allowed to show that,” she added.

Manoj Bajpayee voices concern over films failing to connect; says, “It's important that we spend time on writing a good script”

Actor Manoj Bajpayee recently shared his views on the current state of the film industry. He expressed his concern about films failing to connect with audiences as much as they used to. According to Bajpayee, this disconnect stemmed from a growing desire within the industry for a quick and easy formula for success. Bajpayee emphasized that, in his opinion, the key to creating meaningful and impactful cinema lies in giving sufficient time and attention to the development of the story and script. He believed that these fundamental elements serve as the foundation for a successful film. By investing ample time and effort into crafting a compelling narrative and a well-structured script, filmmakers can create a strong emotional connection with the audience.

During an interview with GOODTIMES, Manoj Bajpayee was questioned about the under-performance of films, including those released on OTT platforms. To this he replied, “We keep wondering, why aren't films working? But the reason is right within you. We keep trying to find a mantra for everything. We keep looking for the thing that will make us successful. It doesn't work like that. Just be true to the job. It's most important that we pay attention to the story. It's important that we spend time on writing a good script. [There were] 18 drafts of Bandaa. It takes time. For Gulmohar, it took them three years. I really find it surprising how [people keep churning stuff out].”

He further added, “When you start churning [things], definitely mediocrity will emerge. When you start to look for a formula to any success, then mediocrity will come. That means you are not being true to your creative self. You are trying to find that tablet, and you think you got that tablet. It never happens that way.”

In addition to his recent film Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, Manoj Bajpayee has an exciting lineup of projects awaiting release. Among them are the films Soup, Dispatch, and Joram. Furthermore, Manoj Bajpayee revealed that the highly popular web series The Family Man will be returning for its eagerly awaited third season.
