BTS channel inner James Bond in 007 style slick 'Butter' performance at Grammys 2022 

Ppop icons BTS performed their mega-hit “Butter” at the 64th GRAMMY Awards. This year, the band earned their second GRAMMY nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. This marks the first time a Korean pop act has performed solo at the GRAMMY awards for two years in a row.

In a flair that made the night even more special for the group, BTS delivered a stunning performance of “Butter.” The never-before-seen stage of “Butter” opened with a special intro by Jin giving orders from a control center, and Jung Kook secretly descending on the stage. Then, other members RM, SUGA, j-hope and Jimin appeared from the audience table as a surprise, interacting with the audience and showing card tricks, leading up to the song. V interacted with Olivia Rodrigo in the crowd as the internet was abuzz with their interaction. The eye-opening laser performance and jacket choreography during the dance break heightened the mood. The 007 style performance was mesmerising The septet successfully broke into the show and mesmerized the audience with finesse.

BTS have participated in the GRAMMY Awards for four consecutive years. In 2019, they first appeared as presenters and in 2020, the septet staged a group performance with Lil Nas X and other artists with “Old Town Road”. In 2021, the group produced a solo virtual performance of “Dynamite,” taking their dynamic gig from the GRAMMY stage to a rooftop overlooking a breathtaking night view of Seoul.

The band is set to perform at their previously-announced four-night concerts in Las Vegas. ‘BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LAS VEGAS' will take place at Allegiant Stadium on April 8, 9, 15 and 16 in front of a live audience. Additionally, the in-person live broadcast event “LIVE PLAY in LAS VEGAS” will be held at MGM Grand Garden Arena on all four days. The concert will also be streamed online on the last day of the tour on April 16.
