When Farah Khan recalled how Shah Rukh Khan came to her aid during emotional turmoil; called it “the best therapy ever”
Shah Rukh Khan and choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan Kunder share a remarkable bond of friendship and creative collaborations in the Indian film industry. Their partnership began with the iconic film Main Hoon Na in 2004, followed by the box-office hits Om Shanti Om in 2007 and Happy New Year in 2014. Their on-screen magic and off-screen camaraderie have endeared them to audiences, making them one of the most successful actor-director duos in Bollywood. In fact, in the past, Shah Rukh left the shoot to be with her when she was going through ’emotional trauma.’
In a recently resurfaced throwback video, Farah Khan reminisced about a period of emotional turmoil in her life, describing how Shah Rukh extended his unwavering support to her, providing the comfort and assistance she needed to navigate through those challenging moments.
She asserted, “My dad passed away, but he sent you here to look after me. I really want to thank you because you do look after me. I recall this one incident, many years ago when I was going through emotional trauma, I don’t even know if you remember it because you have seen me through so many traumas.”
Khan further added, “I was crying on the phone and within half an hour, you left your shooting… I opened the door, and you were standing outside. You sat with me for one hour and you just talked to me. It was like having the best therapy ever.”
Coming to the professional front, Shah Rukh is gearing up for the release of his next film, Jawan. Helmed by Atlee Kumar and starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara, it is slated to release on September 7 this year.
