Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub recalls impulsively buying a Mercedes after Thugs of Hindostan and Zero debacles; says Now I laugh about it

With his performances actor Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub has carved a niche for himself over the years. The actor recently made headlines for his performance in Hansal Mehta’s web show, Scoop. While the critics and audience are praising him, the actor reflected on struggling with the failure of two of his projects, Zero and Thugs Of Hindostan. He recalled doing “panic shopping” and purchasing a Mercedes.

In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Zeeshan revealed how the consecutive failures affected him deeply, but he now considers them a "blessing in disguise." Recounting a period of 3-4 months when he felt downcast and faced a lack of work opportunities, Zeeshan expressed that this phase was crucial for self-reflection and reevaluating his career aspirations. He questioned whether he wanted to remain a peripheral figure in big films or present himself as a versatile actor.

Notably, Zeeshan confessed to feeling insignificant in those films and, as a result, not being responsible for their failure. This realization led him to pause and choose roles that truly interested him, eventually landing him a part in Article 15. However, during his low phase, Zeeshan admitted to indulging in some "panic shopping" that, amusingly, depleted his savings, including buying a Mercedes.

Reflecting on this impulsive decision, he humorously remarked on the irony of spending his savings after deciding to take a break from signing more films. While his wife, Rasika Agashe, stood by him throughout, she acknowledged that this was a battle Zeeshan had to fight alone, emphasizing the importance of his self-discovery journey and finding his own path.
