Koffee With Karan 8: Neetu Kapoor says Rishi Kapoor was a strict boyfriend during their dating days: “He was always like ‘yeh nahi karna, woh nahi karna, ghar aajao’”

Koffee With Karan 8 hosted Zeenat Aman and Neetu Kapoor as the guests on the show! In the new episode, they made several revelations brimming with nostalgia and discussed the untold stories from Bollywood’s golden era. Neetu Kapoor talked about how late Rishi Kapoor was a strict boyfriend in her early dating years and would not let her party.

During their conversation, Neetu said that she had never experienced the wild side of the industry as he never really partied. She revealed, "We had a fabulous time, especially with Yash ji (Chopra). We would party in the night, play antakshari, and play dumb charades. So, that was like one picnic. That was really-really fun.”

However, due to the strictness of her mother and her boyfriend, she never really experienced the crazy parties. “But I had this Rishi Kapoor as my boyfriend. So, I never partied-partied. Because he was always like, yeh nahi karna, woh nahi karna, ghar aajao (don't do this, don't do that, come home). So, I’ve never seen that wild side of partying in those days,” she added.

Recalling his cancer treatment in New York, Neetu told Karan, “So Karan for me, I don't like to remember the sad part. I like to remember the good part of our relationship and of our time in New York. So New York was really sad, but we had the best year, I had the best year of my life.”

She added, "Because you know Chintu Ji (Rishi Kapoor) is a very loving person. He had a lot of love in him. But there was something he never really showed his love. He always kept his distance and bullying people, not show his love. Especially with me and my children, he was like a big thing. Respect and all and with that he lost out on a lot with his children. He was never a friend to them."

She said, “But that year, he opened up. He showed love, went towards me also he was so lovely. We had the best time.”
