Kareena Kapoor Khan celebrates 24 years in Bollywood, revisits debut film Refugee: “The best is yet to come”

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, a true inheritor of the Kapoor legacy in Indian cinema, recently completed 24 years in the Hindi film industry. To mark this special occasion, Kareena took a nostalgic trip down memory lane and revisited her debut film, Refugee.

A Look Back at Refugee Released in 2000, Refugee was a romantic drama directed by J.P. Dutta. The film starred a young and fresh-faced Kareena Kapoor, then only 18 years old, alongside Abhishek Bachchan. Kareena portrayed the character of Nazneen Ahmed, a village girl caught in the throes of love amidst the backdrop of cross-border tensions. Kareena Kapoor Khan's Career Trajectory Since her debut in Refugee, Kareena Kapoor Khan has carved a remarkable niche for herself in Bollywood. Her last outing on the big screen was Crew, a heist comedy co-starring Tabu and Kriti Sanon. Kareena's next project is the highly anticipated Rohit Shetty directorial, Singham Again. The action-packed film boasts a star-studded cast including Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff. Initially slated for an Independence Day release, the film's premiere has been shifted to Diwali this year.
