Imran Khan ADMITS taking steroids to achieve masculine physique like Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt: “I tried to conform to that, but I am not…”
Bollywood actor Imran Khan recently opened up about the pressures actors face to maintain a certain image in the entertainment industry. Speaking candidly on the YouTube channel We Are Yuvaa, Imran admitted to taking steroids in an attempt to conform to the hyper-masculine image that has become prominent in Bollywood, influenced by stars like Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt.
Imran Khan Speaks About Rise of Masculine Ideals in Bollywood Imran discussed how the pressure to appear masculine has grown over the past two decades, particularly with the increasing popularity of the superhero genre in both Western and Hindi cinema. "In the last 2010-20 years, it started to become a pressure point for men as well," he shared. "Particularly with the rise of the superhero genre, and Hrithik [Roshan] was the proponent of that. Even back in the 90s, Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt were massively masculine dudes. When you see it more and more, you start to feel the pressure and say to yourself, ‘I need to look like that.’ Social media has also intensified it." Imran Khan ADMITS Resorting to Steroids Imran revealed that he succumbed to the pressure and resorted to using steroids to achieve a more muscular physique. "For a long time, I tried to conform to that, but I am not built like Captain America; I don’t have a Thor physique. I tried my best. I took all of the stuff. I resorted to steroid use as well, but it’s not sustainable," he confessed.
