Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava co-star Vijay Vikram Singh reveals that the actor stayed three extra hours on set after his shot to provide cues
Vicky Kaushal is recognized as one of the industry's top and most dedicated actors, regularly showcasing his skills through a diverse selection of roles and films. His upcoming project is the period drama Chhaava. In a recent interview, Kaushal’s Chhaava co-star, Vijay Vikram Singh, who also narrates Bigg Boss, revealed that Kaushal once stayed on set for an additional three hours to assist others and offer cues during filming.
In a conversation with Free Press Journal, Vikram was asked about his experience of working with Vicky Kaushal. He described Kaushal as one of the most respectful and caring actors he had ever encountered, noting how Kaushal consistently looks out for his co-stars with genuine humility and kindness. Recalling a particular moment on set, Vikram shared that Kaushal stayed an extra three hours to provide cues, despite finishing his own shot and having the option to take a break.
Kaushal’s Chhaava is a historical epic adapted from the Marathi novel by Shivaji Sawant. The film will also feature Rashmika Mandanna in a pivotal role as Yesubai, the wife of Sambhaji. The cast also includes Divya Dutta, Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, and others. Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan, the film's teaser has already received widespread appreciation from audiences.
Originally slated for a December 6, 2024, theatrical release, Chhaava has been delayed to avoid a clash with Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2. The new release date has yet to be confirmed, though Pinkvilla reported the makers are targeting the first quarter of 2025.
As for his other projects, Kaushal will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War, alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The film began shooting in November 2024, with Kapoor and Kaushal set to join soon, while Alia is expected to start in December.
Vicky will also star in Dinesh Vijan's Mahavatar, portraying Lord Parashurama. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film is scheduled for release during Christmas 2026.
