Family Statement and Legacy Hussain’s family, in their official statement, emphasized his role as a teacher and mentor, saying, “His prolific work as a teacher, mentor, and educator has left an indelible mark on countless musicians. He hoped to inspire the next generation to go further.”

Survived by his wife Antonia Minnecola, daughters Anisa and Isabella Qureshi, and siblings Taufiq, Fazal Qureshi, and Khurshid Aulia, Hussain’s legacy lives on in his contributions to Indian classical music and his ability to bring global audiences closer to Indian traditions.
