Raveena Tandon opens about the contrasting characters in Patna Shuklla and Karmma Calling; says, "Glamming up and sobering it down is up to what the character demands"
From a yesteryear diva turned socialite who would stop at nothing to a lawyer who fights for justice putting herself and her family in line, Raveena Tandon showcased her versatility in Disney+ Hotstar's Karmma Calling and Patna Shuklla. While she exuded glamour in the former as Indrani Kothari, she toned it down for the latter as Tanvi. Raveena Tandon shares her insights on transitioning between the two roles while highlighting what's common between the two.
Talking about the same, Raveena Tandon said, "Tanvi Shukla and Indrani have one thing in common, that is their untamed determination. They both fiercely chase what they want, while their approach is different but they have their eyes on the prize at all times. Glamming up and sobering it down is up to what the character demands. Indrani belonged to a high society while Tanvi is rooted in Patna, both have their own characteristics and we designed the outlook of the characters accordingly. The audience got to see a glamourous Raveena Tandon and appreciated it, with Patna Shuklla they'll see a complete opposite of Indrani and I hope they enjoy that as well."
Speaking of Patna Shuklla, the film takes you on the journey of a fearless lawyer, who takes matters into her own hands when she sees a student entangled in an education scam and soon realizes that she is pitted against a Chief Minister candidate. Produced by Arbaaz Khan Productions and directed by Vivek Budakoti, the courtroom drama is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
On the other hand, Karmma Calling revolves around a scorned woman who enters the high-society of Alibaug to avenge every wrongdoing done to her father 20 years earlier. In the midst of her plan, she uncovers secrets, lies, and affairs, and finds herself in multiple dangerous situations that could tear the beachside town apart.
